For many local searches, your Google Business Profile is the first thing a customer sees, sometimes before your website and sometimes instead of it. It works best when it is treated as part of the business, not a one-time listing.
Begin with accuracy. Name, address, service area, phone number, opening hours and categories should match what customers find everywhere else. Update holiday hours and changes before they cause a wasted journey or a missed call.
Then make it useful. Describe your services in plain language, add recent photos of the real place or work, and keep product and service details current.
Reviews deserve a routine. Respond calmly and specifically, including to criticism. Finally, decide what a local visitor should do next, such as call, get directions, message or visit a page, and make that route easy.
